4015 aluminum is a 4000-series aluminum alloy. The main alloying addition is silicon. 4015 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-4015. AlSi2Mn is the EN chemical designation. Additionally, the UNS number is A94015.

It originally received its standard designation in 1989.

Features

Many users now prefer to use alloy 4015 having switched from other alloys such as 1050 and 3103. The corrosion resistance of alloy 4015 is similar to the 3000 series alloys. Aluminium / aluminum 4015-H14 alloy can be welded using MIG and TIG welding methods. The recommended welding wire is aluminium / aluminum 4043 (Al Si5). Cold workability, gas weldability, arc weldability , solderability, and brazability of aluminium / aluminum 4015-H14 alloy is excellent. Resistance weldability and machinability is also possible.
